Sail daily · Year-round
Alfresco Grand is the largest and most premium vessel sailing the Brahmaputra daily — 150 guests across an open upper deck, a breezy roofed middle deck, and a fully covered air-conditioned lounge open to everyone. Every cruise is a real sail, not a float: in winter the route passes Umananda, Karmanasa and Urvashi islands and slips under the Kumar Bhaskar Varma Setu as the light changes over the water.
60 minutes · daily · from ₹700
Golden hour from the water with a live singer and DJ on deck — the one-evening classic, at its best in winter.

The quiet hour after sunset, between the evening's two sailings. Tell us you're interested and we'll message you when it returns.
90 minutes · daily · dinner included
Sattriya, Bihu and live singing with a freshly cooked buffet as the city lights come on — the full cultural evening.
One evening in Guwahati? Take the sunset cruise on the Brahmaputra — sixty minutes, golden hour, and you're back in time for dinner in town. First-timers rarely regret it, and winter sunsets here are the best of the year.
Want the full evening? The dinner cruise adds classical and folk performances and a buffet cooked fresh on board — a complete cultural night on the river, good in every season.
Marking an occasion? For anniversaries, proposals and private celebrations, look at the private candlelight dinner on our own S B Agam, or charter a whole vessel for your party.
Getting there & boarding
The Brahmaputra rises and falls with the seasons, so we board from the Gateway of Guwahati terminal, Panbazar in winter and from Uzanbazar in summer. Your exact boarding point is always printed on your boarding pass — check it before you book your cab. On Google Maps, search "Alfresco Grand".
Please report at least 30 minutes before departure — the boat sails on schedule and cannot wait for late arrivals. Between November and January, Guwahati's evening traffic is at its heaviest; give yourself up to an hour.
Around 15 minutes from Guwahati railway station, 40 from Kamakhya station, and roughly an hour to an hour twenty from the airport, traffic depending. At Panbazar there's paid multilevel parking opposite the terminal and free parking at the ghat just before it; the Uzanbazar point has free parking.
Boarding is a short walk up to the ship, then one flight of stairs to the middle deck and two to the upper deck. Guests with limited mobility, wheelchairs or strollers should plan accordingly — please call us before booking and we'll do our best to help.
Good to know
Yes — every day, year-round, monsoon included. The only exceptions are days of extreme weather or unusually high water, occasionally in June–July. We recommend checking the current timings before you travel.
Cruises start from ₹700 per person, with rates varying by cruise, deck and for children — see the booking page for current prices. Prices are fixed year-round: no weekend or holiday surge, and the same rate online, by phone, or at the counter.
Online booking opens 2 days before the cruise date and closes 4 hours before departure. Walk-ins are welcome subject to availability, but in winter the cruises regularly sell out — booking ahead is wise. Groups of more than 20 book with us directly by phone or WhatsApp.
